Neighbourhoods to Explore

For all its stratospheric growth, Toronto remains a city of neighborhoods—whose diversity is its strength.

The many residential communities of Toronto express a character distinct from the skyscrapers in the commercial core. Victorian and Edwardian-era residential buildings can be found in some of the traditionally wealthier enclaves such as Rosedale, Cabbagetown, The Annex, and Yorkville.

“Old Toronto” covers the downtown core and older neighbourhoods to the east, west, and north. It is the most densely populated part of the city.

Many neighbourhoods in the central “old” city retain an ethnic identity, including two smaller Chinatowns, the Greektown area, Little Italy, Portugal Village, and Little India, among others.

Food & Dining

Toronto boasts a vibrant and diverse food scene, celebrated for its multicultural influence and innovative approach to cuisine. It features a wide range of options, from authentic international dishes to cutting-edge fine dining experiences.

Toronto’s diverse population has shaped its food scene, offering a wide array of cuisines from around the globe.

A City with Amazing Restaurants

The city’s culinary landscape is known for its creativity and variety, catering to various tastes and budgets.

Arts, Culture & Entertainment

It’s no secret that a unique and creative spirit thrives in cosmopolitan Toronto. Arts, culture and entertainment are baked into the fabric of the city, where world-renowned festivals, galleries, museums, and stages are full of colour, music and movement throughout the year.

Whether you’re admiring the city’s rich architecture, its diverse melting pot of international cultures and its jewel box historic theatres, or taking in annual events like film and music festivals that showcase both Canadian and global artists, there’s always something fresh on.

From Indigenous heritage to the legacy of Ukrainian immigrants to cutting edge Canadian creativity, it’s hard to imagine a city that elevates urban living to art quite the way Toronto does.

Bars & Nightlife

Toronto offers a diverse nightlife scene, from high-energy clubs to cozy bars and live music venues

Popular areas include the Entertainment District, Queen Street West, and King Street West, each with a unique vibe and variety of options.

From late night dance parties at The Royal Ontario Museum or the Art Gallery of Ontario to historic music venues like El Mocambo and Horseshoe Tavern provide plenty of options to enjoy live music.

Nature & Outdoor Activities

Amongst the towering buildings, multicultural neighbourhoods, and big-city bustle of Toronto are many green spaces and parks. Over 1,500, in fact. Get outdoors and get active with these nature-filled adventures.

A ferry ride to the islands offers scenic parks, beaches, and recreational opportunities.

Cycling along the lakeshore of Lake Ontario is safe and reliable, with over 56kilometres of continuous multi-use paths and trails along the water.

There are also plenty of excellent hikes within a short drive from downtown Toronto, especially along the Niagara escarpment (a UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve)

Landmarks & Noteworthy Gems

Toronto is a tapestry woven with the threads of history, innovation, and culture, and nowhere is this more evident than when you explore the city’s most famous landmarks.

The CN Tower, Casa Loma, and the Royal Ontario Museum each offer a window into Toronto’s past and a view of its future. These storied sites reveal the fascinating journey of Canada’s largest city through the ages. Each attraction stands not just as a structure but as a historical milestone that reflects the city’s fascinating evolution.

Whether you’re a history buff, an architectural aficionado, or simply seeking awe-inspiring experiences, Toronto’s famous sites will leave you enriched and enthralled.

Where You’ll Be Staying

Built in 2013, these Liberty Village condos lie in the heart of one of the West End’s most vibrant districts, now home to nearly 25,000 residents in a neighbourhood only 150 acres in size.

Once an industrial district, Liberty Village has seen phenomenal growth in recent years but still boasts some gorgeous, historic architecture together with a multitude of new shops and restaurants. Here, you’ll find green roof courtyard gardens with pathways, trees and shrubs, plus a sunken Roman Garden!
